Because I live above a restaurant I can't have pets. So I decided to build Risper.
He is a character and sharing the house with a robot inevitably led me to write a story about him. The problem
is that Risper tends
to take up a fair amount of my time, he is a demanding little sod. Between the ages of six and sixteen I lived in Lake Boga, Victoria. The lifestyle was ideal, swimming nearly every day during the hotter months of the year (and sometimes the colder ones). On the weekends we would get on our pushbikes early in the morning and head off with some sandwiches on the 16 kilometre trip around the lake. Stopping off at our favourite swimming spots on the way and sometimes not getting home until 6pm. Then at sixteen I went to Bendigo Victoria to attend the Institute of Technology, studying Information Technology. I am still working in IT, writing an average of four programs a year. Getting back to Risper, you will have to wait until book four comes out before I will include a photo of him on the cover. This is because he is much more advanced than the earlier versions I talk about in the first three books. So a lot in the books is true. There is a restaurant and I live in it. There is a robot called Risper who can talk, understand me talking to him, can recognise faces and irises and can do everything else as described in the books. And I do make all sorts of projects including the ones in the books. This is to make sure they work. If you would like to contact me, please read my contact page. Thanks, G. J. Witney |
