I told Martin I didn't want to do this, but he bribed me by saying he and Anton will work in the restaurant as waiters if I do. One half hour shift for every one hundred words I write. So if I write ten thousand words they will have to work in the restaurant one hundred times. I think this is a good bargain, no? Yes, I think it is good. Customers like being served by the two boys, even if it is only for a half an hour over the busy lunchtime.

Martin has just told me that he only needs five hundred words. That is not fair. That is only five lunchtimes. Never mind, I have already written over one hundred words.

Now Martin tells me I can add to and update this page every so often and the boys will work more days. Maybe I could update it everyday. Martin says no.

Anyway, working in the restaurant is the best. The staff are like one big happy family and Martin's father is like a father to me while my parents are away. Chef is a real comedian and just looking at him makes me smile. I get to meet a lot of interesting people from all around the world who come here to eat and look at the fantastic building. The people are always kind and many keep coming back time and again.

I live in the restaurant on the first floor, well away from Martin's room which is on the second floor. He is a very noisy boy who is always busy doing something and never sits down quietly. He also wriggles a lot when I go to hug him, but I still like him like a little brother.

When the boys are in the restaurant they spend most of their time up in Martin's room, working on their mechanical things and that Risper of theirs. I think we will have to make some new rules for next year to make them come downstairs more often. Anton is very sweet. He will hate me saying that, but it is true.

When I am not working, I like to go into the town to catch up with friends and look in clothing shops. I wear an all black uniform in the restaurant, black blouse, black pants and black apron. So I really like to wear colourful things when I'm not working.

I like reading books too. Not the science fiction books that Martin reads, but adventure and crime stories. There is nothing better than sitting in the park reading a good book.

I email my parents in Russia nearly every day and have even started writing them a few letters. I know that sounds silly, but my mum likes to hold the letter and see my handwriting. I put some of my perfume on it too. Mum says if she closes her eyes she feels that I am in the room.

Well I hope Martin is happy with what I have written. Maybe he will be quieter and wriggle less now, but I doubt it.
